Tariff Refund & Pass-Through Readiness Pack
Tariff rules have changed several times in 2026. If you paid tariff duties or passed surcharges to customers, we organize your duty and contract data so your customs broker or counsel can act quickly. Fixed-price, scope confirmed after a free call.
Who it’s for
This pack is for importers of record that paid duties under the IEEPA tariffs, and for firms that passed tariff surcharges to customers or accepted them from suppliers.
- Importers whose duty records sit across broker reports, invoices and spreadsheets.
- Finance and procurement teams asked who owns any refund: the importer, a customer or a supplier.
- Manufacturers and distributors with tariff clauses in customer contracts or supplier POs.
What you get
We deliver organized, review-ready files for your broker or counsel. We do not file claims or decide eligibility.
- Entry-level duty data, consolidated in one workbook.
- A list of entries by status, ready for broker review.
- A contract and PO tariff-allocation checklist.
- A customer and supplier pass-through ledger.
How it works
1
Scope call
We confirm who the importer of record is, which broker you use and which periods matter.
2
Collect
We gather broker entry reports, duty payments, invoices, POs and contract terms.
3
Organize
We reconcile the data, flag gaps and group entries by status.
4
Hand off
We walk your broker or counsel through the files and list the open questions.
Why now
Tariffs have changed legal footing more than once this year, so records matter.
- A&O Shearman reports that on Feb 20, 2026 the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Learning Resources v. Trump that IEEPA does not authorize tariffs.
- Customs broker M.E. Dey & Co. reports that CBP launched its CAPE refund tool on April 20, 2026, and that entry status (unliquidated, or within 80 days of liquidation) affects the process.
Rules and deadlines may change, and parts of the current tariff regime are in litigation.
Quick answers
Will you file refund claims?
No. Filing and eligibility decisions belong to your customs broker or attorney. We prepare the data they will ask for.
Can you promise a refund?
No. Outcomes depend on the rules at the time and on your own entries. We organize records; we cannot promise any result.
What data do we need?
Broker entry reports, duty payment records, invoices, POs and contract terms. We can start with whatever you have.
Important note
Not legal advice. Statadventure is not a law firm or customs broker. We organize your data; we do not promise or guarantee any refund. Check with your customs broker or attorney.
